About The Cotswold Clay Company

Cotswold Clay is the brainchild of Josh Warner and Alex Goodge. They’re firm friends as well as astute business people, having grown up together playing rugby and cricket they understand how to apply teamwork to pull off a seamless day full of thrills, excitement and discipline.

Both Josh and Alex have been shooting since an early age and have a shared passion for sport, shooting and business – it was only natural that they set up The Cotswold Clay Company in 2016.

Josh and Alex love the British outdoors as well as the gastronomic delights that English pubs can offer. It’s this love of food, the outdoors and an appreciation that faultless hospitality is as important as the quality of clay days that makes Cotswold Clay the perfect answer to fun satisfaction for the client.

Josh in his own words

‘After finishing studies at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester in 2008 I decided to focus on events management.

I spent 3 fun-fuelled years organising Gumball 3000, the world’s most iconic supercar rally for the elite and famous. It was during this time that I found I had a natural talent for luxury customer service.

In 2011 joined Everyman Racing, the UK’s leading supplier of automotive experiences and developed further skills as a supercar instructor.

I went on to work for automotive manufactures as an instructor, product ambassador and event specialist. I have since travelled the world with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars delivering bespoke experiential events.’

Alex in his own words

‘I Studied at Harper Adams University College and graduated in 2012. After spending two years in Romania for a large European farming group as Operations Manager, I moved back to the UK to take up a Farm Manager post. I am passionate about diversification in modern agriculture and understand the reality of bottom line profit.

I have worked on driven pheasant and partridge shoots and love creating innovative, challenging and interesting shooting experiences. Something that we can simulated with clay pigeons any time of the year at any location.’
